The schooner JOHN WESLEY, of Port Hope, Capt. Allwood in command, on May 2nd. 1857 left Port Hope and sailed to Labrador and fished, then returned to Toronto August 27th., with a good catch. This may be the first fish cargo to be brought in by a laker.
