We understand that the new barque REPUBLIC, of the Forbes' rig, which has been built during the past winter at Erie for Gen. C.M. Reed, is nearly ready for sea. She is said to be a fine model, and of the following dimensions; 153 feet keel; 30 foot beam and 11 feet hold, and about 500 tons burthen. She is to run between this port and Chicago.
