ASHORE. - The schooner RANKIN, bound from Toledo to Buffalo, with a cargo of wheat, got ashore on East Sister Reef, Lake Erie, Tuesday night, and at the present time lies in a precarious situation. The tug RED ERIC left here yesterday afternoon with steam pumps to go to her relief. - Detroit Free Press.

SCHOONER RANKIN ASHORE. - The tug RED ERIC, which left here on Wednesday afternoon with steam pumps to go to the relief of the schooner RANKIN, ashore at East Sister Island, returned to this port yesterday, having successfully accomplished her mission by getting the vessel afloat without damage. - Detroit Free Press.
