Description

STORM - VESSELS BEACHED : A severe northwest storm has been raging in this vicinity since Wed.evening last. The snow has drifted in many places to the depth of six or eight feet, and the roads are nearly impassable.
Some of the shipping of this Port has suffered from the violence of the gale. The Brig MANHATTEN, belonging, we believe, at Detroit, is beached near the place where wrecks occurred last fall - on the rocks within the East Pier. The Schooners SCOTLAND and MOSES have shared a similar fate. These vessels were all moored within the harbor, but were broken loose by the force of the storm, and driven ashore. -- Oswego Advertiser.
