DETROIT British Naval Brig ex U.S. (captured) brig ADAMS.
as the DETROIT she mounted 6 six pounder long guns and during
an engagement was cut loose to escape the gunfire of American
batteries.and she drifted with the current till she grounded on
the west side of Squaw Island, and abandoned, later set on fire by
American troops and burned to the waters edge.
