Globe (Schooner), waterlogged, 1 Jul 1847

Description
Full Text

Mr. Webb, Clerk of the steamer ISLANDER, reports the three masted schooner GLOBE, loaded with staves, floating around in the neighborhood of kelly's Island in a disabled condition. She sprung a leak during the gale and filled with water, but the buoyancy of her load kept her from sinking below her deck. Her deck load was entirely swept away. Sandusky Mirror, 26th.
