THE BARQUE GREAT WEST.- The barque GREAT WEST, from Chicago, laden with 46,000 bushels of oats, while coming down the rapids in the St. Clair River, on Friday night last, struck on a reef and tore off her keel. This caused the barque to leak badly. The steamer RUBY came opportunely and towed her into Sarnia Bay, where she was allowed to sink in shoal water. There will be a loss of about half of her cargo, which will be wet. ----- Detroit Dem. & Inq.
