GALE AT GRAND HAVEN - DISASTERS TO VESSELS. - The propeller POCAHONTAS arrived this morning from Grand Haven, having left that port last night. Her officers represent the gale that prevailed from Friday to Monday, to have been very severe on that side of the lake, and the following disasters are reported: - The ROCKY MOUNTAIN went ashore at Grand River on Monday, lies on sandy beach with twenty-six inches of water in her hold. Schooners PRESIDENT, SAM HALE, ELBE, BALTIC, HONEST JOHN, TRAVELLER and HENRY CLAY, went ashore at Muskegon, in the course of the gale. We get no furthers particulars. There was no loss of life that we can ascertain. The shore is sandy, and the vessels will probably all be got off without much damage. They were all in the lumber trade, and owned, with the exception of the HALE, by parties in this city. -- Chicago Journal.
