NORTHERN INDIANA Steamer, sprung leak and went into dock at Detroit for repairs. Property loss $5,000

We learn that the steamer NORTHERN INDIANA, as she was leaving Monroe,
on Tuesday, struck an anchor between the piers, and sprung a leak. She went to
Detroit for repairs.

      ACCIDENT TO THE STEAMER "NORTHERN INDIANA." - We learn that the
steamer NORTHERN INDIANA, of the Southern Michigan and Northern Indiana
Railroad Line, as she was leaving Monroe on Tuesday afternoon last, struck an anchor
between the piers, and sprunk a leak. She goes to Detroit for repairs. The steamer
EMPIRE STATE will take the place of the NORTHERN INDIANA, until she resumes
her station, which will be in a few days.
