ILLINOIS Steamer, broke machinery on Lake Huron, towed to Detroit by U.S. Steamer MICHIGAN. Property loss $2,500

We learn from the Detroit Free Press, that the steamer ILLINOIS was towed into
that port, on Friday morning, by the U.S.Steamer MICHIGAN, she broke her shaft
on Lake Huron, and will be obliged to lay over a few days for repairs.
