We were shown a letter, on Saturday last, received that day from a gentleman
connected with an Insurance Office in Chicago, which states that the schooners
ROBERT CAMPBELL, ALLENWICK, LEVANT, NORTH YUBA, SEVENTY SIX, ROANOKE, GLOBE, St. CLAIR, and propeller ROSSITER were all ashore between
Point Betsie and Grand River, Michigan, on the east shore of Lake Michigan.
