REID, J.S. Schooner, damaged by collision in Grand River, C.W. Property loss $1,000
      Buffalo Democracy
      Feb. 28, 1855 (casualty list)

The Brig CONCORD and schooner J.L. REID, both from this port and bound up, were
compelled to run into Grand River on Monday for shelter and owing to the steamer
PLOUGHBOY, which had also put in for shelter laying across the channel, ran foul of
each other, doing considerable damage. A large three masted vessel, name not known,
was also severely injured by coming in contact with the steamer.
