WILLIAM Schooner, jettisoned deck load of coal and castings in gale on Lake Erie and returned to Buffalo for repairs. Property loss $600

      The schooner WILLIAM bound from this port to Detroit, with a cargo of coal and
castings, was obliged to throw overboard her deck load, consisting of fifteen tons of
coal and a large quantity of castings, and return to port yesterday afternoon.
