MANSFIELD Schooner, sprung a leak in a gale on Lake Erie, damaged cargo of corn. Property loss $1,000

Captain Averill, of the propeller CHARTER, says the Cleveland Herald, report
that he spoke on the morning of the 19th., schr. MANSFIELD at anchor above the
peninsula, leaking; had signal of distress flying; sent to Erie for the U.State
Revenus cutter, MICHIGAN, to come to her assistance.
