Propeller J.W. BROOKS, ashore near Oswego, lighted and got off. Property
loss $200.

      The propeller J.W. BROOKS, with merchandise from Ogdensburgh for the west,
went ashore yesterday about four miles above the city, in attempting to find the
harbor during the prevalence of the fog. The new tug A.S. PAGE was despatched
to her relief, and this morning brought the propeller into port. It is though she is
not materially damaged. - Oswego Times, 29.
