Loss Of The Steam Tug E.P. DORR. - We learn from a despatch to Capt. Dobbins from Detroit, that the Canadian propeller OLIVER CROMWELL, had arrived at that port and reports having run into the steam tug E.P. DORR, on Saturday evening, in Saginaw Bay. The tug went down in deep water in three minutes. The crew escaped to the propeller. The E.P. DORR was a fine new and powerful tug of about 500 tons, built this season by Van Slyke, Notter & Co., of this city, for the Chicago Mutual, Garden City of Chicago, and Star of Ogdensburgh Insurance Companies, whose united loss is about $10,000. The DORR at the time of her disaster was on her way to Chicago from Detroit, having got off and towed to the latter port the steamer SULTANA, lately ashore at the Big Fox. One of the Buffalo Mutual large steam pumps was on board of her when she went down.
