Propeller PROTECTION (C), and steamer BOSTON (C), collide on the River St. Lawrence. the former sunk with a cargo of merchandise.

      The steamer BOSTON and propeller PROTECTION came in collision on the St. Lawrence, Thursday last. The latter contained a valuable cargo of European merchandise for Toronto, and sunk in twenty feet of water; mostly insured.
