Schooner RUBY, put into Genesee River, damaged.
      Buffalo Commercial Advertiser
      January 31, 1857 (1856 casualty list)

      A despatch from Rochester, says that the schooner DARIEN is at the mouth of
the Genesee, with upper works considerably damaged. The schooner HUNTER,
outside of the pier, and the schooner RUBY inside, are disabled. The schooner
UTICA is dismasted, and several other vessels in port seriously damaged.
