MARY MARIA Schooner (C), grounded on Middle Ground, Presqu'Isle, Lake Ontario. Seven lives lost

MARY MARIE of Colborne, an old vessel, about 130 tons burden, struck on the "Middle Ground" at Presqu'Isle, Lake Ontario, mid December and becam a wreck. Captain and wife and child and crew lost, seven in number.

The loss of the Schooner MARY MARIE at Presqu'Isle, is incorrect. The vessel is safe and will winter there. Crew are also safe.
