Schooner COMMERCE, cargo lumber, lost foremast in gale on Lake Ontario. Property loss $200.

      SCHOONER DISMASTED. - The schooner COMMERCE, of this port, was dismasted last Monday off Pultneville. The COMMERCE had a cargo of lumber from Port Ontario for Toronto, and lost her foremast in the heavy gale of Monday. Capt. Ouderkirk necessarily turned about ship, and ran down the lake before the wind. He ultimately succeeded in getting his vessel safely into Port Ontario, whereshe now lies. - Rochester Union, May 1.
