WRECK OF THE SCHOONER ROVER. - The Milwaukee Sentinel of the 28th, says this vessel, owned in Milwaukee, is a complete wreck, one and a half miles north of Portage, Michigan. The ROVER, it will be remembered, was abandoned by her crew a week ago last Sunday, about ninety miles from the Michigan shore, and left to the mercy of the waves. The owner and three other had been on board, coming from Manitowoc to Milwaukee, with a load of wood and lumber. A week ago Friday a leak was discovered, and soon after the vessel almost capsized, throwing off her deck load, when she righted up again and soon filled with water. The crew remaining on board, drifting whithersoever the winds might carry them, for two days, when they were obliged to take to the boat, and abandon the vessel, as the wind was coming up fresh.
The vessel drifted ashore in the gale which followed, and was completely wrecked.
This is the second time the ROVER has been wrecked within two years.
