SCHOONER CALEDONIA ASHORE. - The schooner CALEDONIA, went ashore sixteen miles north of St. Joseph a few days since, in one of the gales with which we have been visited lately. Intelligence reached this city, and the tug SALVOR, Capt. Keahoe, was dispatched to her relief. The captain returned last night, and reports her imbedded in the sand so that she could not be pulled off without considerable digging. A gang of men were taken to her this morning, and she will probably be off in a day or two. The CALEDONIA is owned in this city, and insured for $2,000 in the Etna. - Chicago Dem.
