Schooner LANSING, cargo coal and salt, sprung a leak on Lake Michigan. Property loss $500

The schooner LANSING, from Buffalo to this port, sprung a leak during the
late gale and ran back under the South Manitou. She had a cargo of coal and
slate for this city. She had a steam pump on board, and the leak will be
repaired without much trouble. - Milwaukee Sentinel.

ARRIVAL OF THE SCHOONER H.L. LANSING.
The schooner H.L. LANSING, which sprung a leak during the recent gale, near the
South Manitous, arrived here yesterday with her cargo, in safety, a steam pump having
been sent to her assistance, and the leak made good. The LANSING brought to this port
250 tons of coal and a quantity of tile roofing for the new harehouse on the Monomonee.
