Propeller GENERAL TAYLOR, and Brig CONCORD, collided off White Fish Point, Lake Superior, the propeller reached St. Marie Canal in a damaged condition, where her cargo was transferred to the steamer LADY ELGIN, the brig was also damaged. Property loss $2,300.

"Met LADY ELGIN and GEN. TAYLOR at the Sault on the 12th, inst. The TAYLOR
had been run into on the morning of the 12th, off White Fish Point, by the Brig CONCORD.
The TAYLOR was badly injured and was with much difficulty kept afloat and brought back
to the Sault. She was discharging cargo on to the ELGIN. The NORTHERN LIGHT was
unable to ascertain the damage to the brig. She was seen below White Fish Point, but the
fog was so dense that her outline only could be seen." - Cleveland Herald (part)

THE GEN. TAYLOR. - This propeller, which collided with the brig CONCORD a
few days since, arrived at this port yesterday morning. She is seriously damaged
and the cost of repairing will probably exceed $3,000. The damage to her cargo
which was insured in the Northwestern Insurance Company, was slight. There was
also an insurance on her freight list for $1,500. - Detroit Advertiser.
