MIDNIGHT Schooner, cargo coal, ashore on Peach Island, Lake St. Clair.

NOTE :- the U. S. Coast Pilot places Peach Island within the Detroit River, almost in Lake St. Clair.

We learn that the schooner MIDNIGHT, bound up is aground on Peach Island, Lake St. Clair, and this morning report say she was pounding badly, and in a somewhat perilous situation. A tug has gone to her relief with the view of lighting her when she will probably be got off without sustaining serious damage.-----Detroit Tribune
