MIRANDA Schooner, cargo wheat, ashore in the Straits of Mackinaw.

The Detroit Tribune of Tuesday, says the schooner MIRANDA passed down yesterday, with a cargo of grain from Kenosha for Buffalo, in a leaky condition. When passing through the South Passage, Mackinac Straits, she struck on what is known as Light House Reef and narrowly escaped being wrecked. She lay in this critical situation all one day, with a heavy sea running, when the tug LEVIATHAN, which had been sent for, and succeeded in getting her afloat. After proceeding on her voyage she commenced leaking badly, and it was only by the constant working of the pumps, and the use of pails, that she was kept afloat until reaching this point. On her arrival here the captain entered a protest on the cargo, and put his vessel in a condition to proceed to Buffalo.
