ELLINGTON Schooner, ashore at Point Au Barques.

BLOWN ASHORE IN A STORM. -- Captain Varner, of the schooner ELLINGTON, arrived in this city yesterday by steamer from Port Huron, who reports his vessel having gone ashore on Lake Huron some eighteen miles this side of Point au Barque. The vessel first struck a rock, then buffing up ran on a reef and shortly after filled with water. She is owned by Capt. V., and is insured for only one half her value, and if not got off will prove a serious loss to him. --- Detroit Free Press.

The tug OSWEGO left yesterday forenoon with steam pumps and lighter for Lake Huron to go to the relief of the schr. ELLINGTON, which went ashore on Sunday, as already reported in a former issue.

SCHOONER ELLINGTON TO GO INTO DRY DOCK. -- The schooner ELLINGTON, which went ashore on Lake Huron a few days since, has been got off and brought to this port by the tug OSWEGO, reaching here yesterday morning. The ELLINGTON has sustained serious injuries and will require a large amount of repairs. She goes into dry-dock this morning we understand. The OSWEGO, om this as on former occasions, has rendered a very important service in thus rescuing the above vessel from so perilious a situation. --- Detroit Free Press.
