DETROIT Propeller, broke her machinery on Lake Erie.
      Buffalo Commercial Advertiser
      Jan. 22, 1863. Casualty List, 1862



DISABLED. -- The propeller DETROIT, senior, on her passage up from Buffalo, on Sunday last, became disabled by the breaking of her machinery when near Long Point. She succeeded by some means in getting into Port Dover, where she at present lies. The tug EAGLE was dispatched to her relief last evening for the purpose of towing her up to this city for repairs. --- Detroit Free Press.
