COLLISION. - We learn from Captain Berriman, of the Buffalo Mutual, that on Tuesday night last, when off Port Stanley, the barque SAM WARD, bound up, collided with the schooner CONVOY, corn laden, bound down, sinking the latter so that her cross-trees are just above water.

WARNING TO MARINERS. - We are requested to call the attention of captain's of steam and sail craft to a dangerous obstacle, it being that of a sunken wreck which latterly has been shifting about from one locality to another, and now lies on the course usually taken by vessels bound up in the fall of the year, and some eight miles from Port Stanley, Lake Erie, in a Southwest direction. This wreck is that of the schooner CONVOY, which was sunk by collision off Port Burwell during the early part of the season. Her decks in the meanwhile have doubtless by the pressure of the grain been forced off and the grain washed out of her. Two or three vessels have recently been more or less damaged by coming in collision with her spars, which are now more than formerly out of water. - Detroit Free Press.
