Steamer CLEVELAND, cargo cattle, etc., ashore on Manitou Island, Lake Superior, jettisoned cargo and got off.

      The steamer CLEVELAND, Captain S. Andrews, ran hard aground on a reef, about
one mile from the light-house on Manitou Island, on the morning of the 8th, and her
entire cargo, consisting of cattle, flour, provisions, &c., also her fuel had to be thrown
overboard before she could be got afloat. - Detroit Free Press
