Schooner A.D. DOUGLASS, aground at the Manitou, got off, and when towing to Milwaukee, encountered bad weather, and sunk, with steam pumps on board. Total loss.

The loss by the sinking of the schooner S.A. DOUGLAS, it is said, will not fall much short of $35,000. She was a new vessel, and was owned at Oswego. The cook went down with her. She had but one steam pump on board when she sunk.
