ADDA Scow, when going into Cleveland, struck the Pier and drove ashore.
Buffalo Commercial Advertiser
January 26, 1863 (Casualty List 1862)
ASHORE. -- The Cleveland leader says during the severe storm of Friday night the scows IDA and FOREST CHIEF, in attempting to enter the harbor, missed the entrance and went ashore on the beach above the west pier. The IDA stove a hole in her bow by striking agains the pier. They will probably be got off today. Several vessels, in making the harbor on Saturday forenoon, narrowly escaped getting on the old piles of the west pier.

GONE TO PIECES. -- The schooner FOREST CHIEF, that went ashore on the beach beyond the west pier a couple of weeks ago, remained there until Wednesday night, when it went to pieces in the gale. She was an old scow, owned by a man named Butler, in Buffalo.
The schooner ADDA, which went ashore at the same time, is being repaired, and will be out in three or four days as good as new. --- Cleveland Leader
