Schooner RUSSEL DART, damaged by collision at Buffalo.
      Marine Disasters on the Western
      Lakes during 1871, Capt. J.W. Hall

      . . . . .

      COLLISION. - As the propeller THOMAS A. SCOTT was coming down the Creek this
morning she fouled with Bailey's scow, which was moored immediately forward of the schr. RUSSEL DART. The force of the blow drove the scow ahead against the schooner with so much force as to carry away the DART's bobstays and headgear.
