Marine Intelligence. - A meeting of the masters and owners of vessels, was held at
Chicago on Saturday last, for the purpose of establishing a regular and uniform rate of seamen's wages, for the ensuing spring. Masters of vessels fromBuffalo ,Cleveland ,Oswego ,Detroit andChicago , were present at the meeting. Among the resolutions passed we find the following, which may be interesting to mariners sailing out of this port: -"Resolved. That seamen's wages be established for the ensuing spring at $25 per month for the run to Buffalo or Oswego, or other ports on the lower lakes, and $20 per month for the run round."
