EXILE Schooner, official U. S. Number 8183, built 1867, of 387 Tons Gross. With 7 persons on board on Nov. 26, 1916, vessel foundered 7 miles south of Sturgeon Point, Lake Huron, no lives lost, but vessel a total loss.

      LUMBER BARGE EXILE FOUNDERS: CREW IS SAFE.
      Alpena, Mich., Nov. 27. - The lumber barge EXILE, bound from this port for Cleveland, sprang a leak off Harrisville, thirty-four miles south of here, last night and was abandoned by its crew of seven men. The men, in small boats, landed at Harrisville suffering from cold. They said the vessel was breaking up.
