It is reported that the sidewheel steamer PEARL is ashore and going to pieces near White Rock, Lake Huron. She is valued at $30,000, and is owned by Clarke of Detroit, who built her in 1875. She rated A 1

PEARL Steamer. Home port, Detroit. On June 13, 1884 Steamer went aground at Sand Beach, Lake Huron, with a cargo of lumber; got off. Hull loss $3,800. Cargo loss $1,800. Insurance $27,000.
