A despatch to Smith & Davis from Capt. George McLeod, dated Brockville, Ont., yesterday says the schr. ERIE QUEEN was sunk 6 miles above there. Her sides are spread, her deck and beams gone, and she is practically a total wreck The wheat was being washed out of her, but an effort was to be made to save as much of it as possible. Several wet grain dealers left last night with a view of securing the cargo. The hull is insured for $4,000 with Smith & Davis, and the cargo with Crosby & Gunning.
