The tug CLARENCE FIX attempted to tow the hulk of the steamer TITANIA from Charlotte yesterday, but broke away in the strong northwester and returned to Charlotte. The TITANIA is owned by the Fix Brothers of Buffalo and was sunk in August at the entrance to Charlotte Harbor.
