HURLBUT, CHAUNCY Propeller. U. S. Number 125238. Built 1874, of 1,009 Gross Tons. Sept. 6, 1908 vessel stranded on Whitefish Point, Lake Superior, and became a total loss. Of 14 persons on board, no lives were lost.
