Thessalon, Ont., August 24. -- The steamer OREGON, owned by J. W. Squires, Chicago, loaded with pulpwood, ran aground on Dyment Shoal at 10 o'clock Saturday night. Fire broke out and the steamer is a total loss. Part of the cargo was saved.
