EUREKA Brig, in collision with Schooner ODD FELLOW on Lake Huron, May 1, 1849. Latter vessel badly damaged on Bowsprit,cutwater and forward stanchions carried away.

The brig EUREKA arrived at this port yesterday from Black River, Michigan. The brig ODD FELLOW ran into the EUREKA on Lake Huron, and by the collision lost her bowsprit. The ODD FELLOW was from this port loaded with produce from Buffalo. A short time before the collision, Captain Marvin Anderson of the ODD FELLOW, in undertaking to overhaul some rigging on the deck of his vessel, which was covered with ice, fell, striking the back of his head; which rendered him perfectly insensible. He died, subsequently at Port Huron. - - - Chicago Dem.
