STEAMBOAT DISASTER - the Huron Advertiser of July 11th. says --"Last Friday night the steamboats PENNSYLVANIA, L,H. Cotton, Master, and NIAGARA, St. John, came in contact when about five miles distance from this port. The NIAGARA was very much injured, having her bowsprit and cut-water knocked entirely off,and in fact the starboard bow of the boat, stove in. She managed to get into port by throwing her anchors overboard, stuffing blankets and similar articles into the crevices at the water line, although the forecastle and gentlemans cabin were partially filled with water. We do not know who should be blamed.
