Eastland (Propeller), U200031, capsized, 24 Jul 1915

EASTLAND Steamer, Capsized in the Chicago River, July 24, 1915 and approximately 800 persons being drowned. Vessel righted by the Great Lakes Towing Co. August 13th. at a cost of $34,500; sold at Public Auction at Chicago to Illinois Naval Reserve, to be remodeled.
