Wrecks On The Upper Lakes- Passengers from the Upper Lakes report several vessels driven ashore in the late gales. The Schooner W.G. BUCKNER, OTTAWA, and the VIRGINIA of Lake Ontario, are reported ashore near Michigan City. The Schooner UNITED STATES is said to be ashore on Presqu'Isle, Lake Huron.

LAKE DISASTERS.---We are indebted to Capt.Appleby of the steamer CONSTITUTION, for a knowledge of disasters which have occurred on the upper lake, (Michigan.)
He has just returned from Chicago, and says that he passed no less than six schooners ashore. The names of only three could be ascertained, viz: the BUCKNOR, MICHIGAN and OTTAWA. From the situation of the vessels, and the extent of the gale, much damage, both to cargo and craft are apprehended.
