Virginia (Schooner), aground, 18 Oct 1838

Wrecks on the Upper Lakes - Passengers from the Upper Lakes report several vessels driven ashore in the late gales. The Schooners OTTAWA, W.G. BUCKNER, and the VIRGINIA of Lake Ontario, are said to be ashore near Michigan City. The Schooner UNITED STATES is said to be ashore on Presqu'Isle, Lake Huron.
