PERRY, COMMODORE Steamboat and the ROCHESTER steamboat ran afoul of each other 20 miles above Dunkirk, on Friday night. The ROCHESTER was struck about mid ship, lost her wheel house, and was towed back to Dunkirk for repairs. The PERRY lost her bowsprit, guards, and figurehead. A dense fog is said to have caused the mischief.
