Gas screw WOOD ISLAND. Official U. S. No. 206510. Built 1908, of 10 Gross Tons. On September 9, 1922 vessel burned off Five Mile Point, on the South shore of Lake Superior, and became a total loss. No lives lost.

      During 1923-M.V. of U. S. A. for 1923



Gas yacht WOOD ISLAND.* U. S. No. 216510. Of 11 tons gross; 7 tons net. Built at Racine, Wis., in 1908. Home port, Marquette, Mich. 46.8 x 8.8 x 4.9 Passenger service. Crew of 1.
