Horn's Pier, Wis., Oct. 9. -- The scow MILTON, owned by Fred Keickert, of Milwaukee, Captain C. Johnson, loaded with hardwood for P.J. Hibbard, at Jacksonport, bound for Milwaukee, and lying at anchor off the piers at Jacksonport during the blow of yesterday and today, parted her anchor chain about 1 o'clock this afternoon, and drifted on the reef south of Reynold's Pier. She lies in four feet of water, about 300 feet from shore. She has filled with water, and is pounding heavily on the rocks. The tug THOMAS SPEAR, of Sturgeon Bay, has gone to her assistance. It is thought now she is a total loss.
