St. Joseph, Mich., Nov. 1. The Schooner ARAB of Milwaukee, bound from Starkey Pier, near Frankfort, for Milwaukee with lumber, piles and wood, went on the beach near the south pier last night. Captain Charles Starkey and his four men landed safely. The value of the boat and cargo was $4,000; Insurance $2,000. The vessel was out since Monday morning; lost her centreboard and part of her deckload. The rudder was disabled coming in. The vessel can probably be saved.

Milwaukee, Wis., Nov. 12. -- The gale has subsided, the wind-bound fleet has got away, and tonight the wind is light from the southwest... Saturday night the tug PROTECTION, of Chicago, left St. Joseph with the wrecked schooner ARAB for this port and should have arrived here yesterday morning, but up to tonight have not been heard from. It is feared that they have met with a disaster. The ARAB had a crew of seven men, and T.P. Eberts, her part owner, and Captain Blackburn, the wrecking-master, are on board. There are five persons on the tug. - - Inter Ocean.

Saugatuck, Mich., Nov. 14. -- The tug PROTECTION dragged her anchor and went ashore tonight about one mile south of the harbor. Crew all saved but two men. Wm. Kelley, pump engineer, went down with the schooner ARAB at 4:30 Sunday morning, about twenty five miles off Racine. One fireman was lost here, name unknown. The crew of the tug were assisted ashore by the St. Joe life-saving crew and citizens here.
