Captain John Donnelly has just completed one of the quickest and best wrecking jobs on record. He contracted to deliver the sunken steamer CONQUEROR at Kingston for $4,500, and on Thursday morning left with the HASTINGS and two pumps to do the job. After working at her forty-eight hours she was floated, and yesterday morning she arrived at Garden Island. Her bottom is badly damaged. Some time ago Captain Merriman contracted to raise her for $4,500. He worked at her fourteen days and spent $1,500 and succeeded in getting her near the surface, but through some means or another, she went down again, and he abandoned the work. - Kingston Report
